Teatro Aveirense will host the premiere of O meu corpo não é só uma instância, an unprecedented show by Aveiro 2024 - Portuguese Capital of Culture that addresses the challenges of the digital society through contemporary dance and music. This interdisciplinary creation, directed by choreographer Yola Pinto and musician Simão Costa, will be presented on 15 and 16 November at 21:30.
O meu corpo não é só uma instância presents a scenario where a body in movement interacts with its own images projected in real and deferred time. This alternation between physical presence and its visual representation offers a unique sensory experience, where the body and technology intertwine to explore new ways of perceiving the self and reality in the context of the digital and connected society.
The collaboration of video artist João Catarino and the presence of several musicians on stage, playing live, contribute to enriching this innovative performance. This is the latest production by Yola Pinto and Simão Costa, who have been working together since 2011. Individually, the dancer and the pianist and composer have presented works in various countries, including Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Brazil.
